Several weeks ago I decided it was time to make a change to our TF message. I removed our principal requirements as I felt our forums were a better place to have that information. I decided to use that open space to recognize some of our members efforts on the operations attacks. It was mentioned in task force chat the the lower level members of the task force weren't being recognized in this and that I was favoring the higher lvl players attacks. This isn't true, I review all attacks and I decide which were the best attacks based off a large number of factors.
First when I look at the attack I figure out exactly what the goal of the attack was. Every attack should have a specific goal. Say for instance you are using tanks, scorchers, or warriors and you are going after specific rockets and shock launchers to make it easier for a follow up hooka or AZ attack, that earns some big points. I want to see some team work within the attack. If you are using tanks but you are using GBE on cannon defenses to make your attack easier for yourself, that makes me value the quality of the attack much lower.
I also look at your statues and your boosts. If you boost for an attack that shows some real initiative, while I don't put a huge amount of points into this it definitely helps the score of the attack.
I look at troop composition. One good attack with the right selection of troops is better than ten attacks with the wrong selection of troops. I have talked about this in another thread. By selecting the best troops for your task, you are going to have a better chance of success in the attack. Any troop can do well in a certain circumstance and I grade how those troops are used. If you are using AZ for instance: I look at the landing, how tight are the zookas grouped? I look at the smokes, how efficient is the use of the smoke? are the smokes nice and tight? are you using too much smoke? When you get the zookas into firing position, how efficient are the use of shocks and critters? There are many factors. This is just one example, there are many ways that any type of troop can be used effectively and efficiently and I am looking for those things.
Use of GBE is also graded, are you being efficient with GBE use or are you just trying to burn down certain defenses with artillery and barrage? I want to see efficient use of smoke, barrage, artillery, flares, critters, and shocks.
Following Op notes (and knowing when not to): I generally try and make notes for everyone. Not everyone has high level scorchers or maxed hooka or critters, not everyone is an AZ pro. If you don't have the gbe or the high level troops to pull off a monster AZ attack or scorcher BBQ for examples; just follow the notes, I give allot of credit to those that follow the notes and try to do the best that they can with their attack regardless of level.
The little things: When I see someone using Hooka for instance and they are flaring left with a rocket on their right, so they drop their Heavy's at the right side to take some potential rocket hits. This is really good strategy that most wouldn't notice. Keep an eye on Kangaroos attacks as he does this often and it really shows a good understanding of troop movement and placement when landing. Also things like using GBE to damage particular targets so that troops will target them first instead of using a large number of flares to select targets, this is highly efficient and a good use of GBE watch Arran's AZ attacks he does this regularly.
So that's it! If you want to make the list these are the things I am looking at. Also understand that there is only room for 3 attacks to be recognized a day, some days there are many really good attacks. I wish that I could recognize them all, but unfortunately it is what it is.
As always if you have any questions about this, feel free to leave a comment, PM me here in the forums, or message me in game.
